Description
The Hope Dropper Lever is a cable-actuated remote with a silver base and selectable accent colours. This product is listed as lever only. Hope describes the lever as suitable for cable-actuated dropper posts, but the exact post, cable end and mounting arrangement should be checked before purchase.
Check cable and mounting compatibility
- Dropper-post cable: Hope says the lever works with the majority of dropper posts. Check the post manufacturer’s instructions to confirm the cable is secured at the lever end and that the remote is suitable for that cable interface. See Hope’s current Dropper Lever specifications.
- Direct mount: Hope says the lever can mount to a Hope master cylinder using a direct shifter mount. Confirm the exact control and mount combination in Hope’s direct-mount selection chart; do not infer fit from the brake brand alone.
- Handlebar clamp: Hope also offers a separate band-on clamp for handlebar mounting. The matching Hope Dropper Lever Clamp is a separate product; confirm the mounting route you need before adding it to your order. Hope’s clamp description identifies it as a band-on mount.
Lever adjustment
Hope lists adjustable reach and a 20% leverage-adjustment range. Hope says increasing leverage gives a lighter lever action with more travel; decreasing it gives a quicker action with less travel. These are manufacturer descriptions, not measurements from The LBS. Follow the official installation instructions when setting up the lever.
Silver-base colour options
The options on this listing are Silver/Black, Silver/Blue, Silver/Bronze, Silver/Orange, Silver/Purple, Silver/Red and Silver/Silver. Hope’s current product page uses the name Smoke rather than Bronze for one of its accent options; the listing does not confirm whether those labels refer to the same finish. If the exact colour matters, check with us before ordering.
What to confirm before ordering
- Confirm your dropper post’s cable interface from its manual.
- Choose either a verified direct-mount arrangement or the separate handlebar clamp.
- The listing identifies this as lever only but does not itemize every fitting or package component. Confirm the exact contents if you need particular bolts or mounting hardware.
